Overview
Bwindi Impenetrable Forest is a UNESCO World Heritage Site located in southwestern Uganda. It is known for its dense and diverse rainforest, which is home to more than half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas.
Bwindi Impenetrable Forest is one of the best places in the world to go gorilla trekking. Visitors can book guided tours to hike through the dense forest and observe these magnificent creatures in their natural habitat. The trek can be challenging, but it is well worth it for the opportunity to witness the unique behaviors and social dynamics of these highly intelligent animals. In addition to gorilla trekking, visitors can also go on nature walks, birdwatching tours, and cultural tours to learn more about the local Batwa people and their way of life.
